If you’ve arrived here, you're definitely a fan of American Soccer. If you’ve arrived here, you're also likely pretty jaded after the roller-coaster of emotions the US Men's National team has put you through over the last several years. Welcome, we are the same person. However, I come with good news. We are currently living in a golden generation of American talent, and Star Spangled Soccer is here to obsess over every detail so you don’t have to.

The dramatic win against Mexico in the Concacaf Nations League final last month was a massive moment for the US Men’s National Team. It awakened a cynical fan base, serving it a breakfast dish named "glimmer of hope for the future." Some will knock the win as a “made up trophy.” I get that. But when you look at the last five years as a whole, and remember the low point pain of missing the 2018 World Cup, a victory over your rival to lift a trophy becomes a shining moment signaling change.

With the Gold Cup in full swing and World Cup Qualifying right around the corner, I’m excited to create a space where fans can follow along with all of the comings and goings of the US Soccer machine, all in one place. But what makes this publication different? Other than my corny jokes, my content will be shaped for you, by you. Thanks to the creative freedom provided by Facebook here on Bulletin, I will listen and interact with you the reader, and will create content based on your feedback. So if you’d like to know what underwear a certain American soccer player uses, let me know in the comments before an interview and I'll make it happen. Actually please don't ask me that. That would be weird.

We will track and interview some of the top American players and coaches competing in the best leagues in the world. We’ll have discussions with some of the biggest names in American Soccer media, analyzing news, manager decisions and more. Of course, we’ll talk Major League Soccer, especially with the amount of talented young players currently being developed at league youth academies, creating depth never before seen in the American player pool. We’ll be sure to create features on some of those homegrown players. But we’ll also be having some fun with a section named #MLSAfterDark, where we’ll feature some of the wackiness we’ve come to adore with our wonderful domestic league.

We absolutely cannot forget about our US Women’s National Team. We’ll just refer to them as “The Champs”, and be sure to remind readers regularly of their dominance. I’m excited to announce that we’ll have an inside look at the day-to-day life of a USWNT player running throughout the rest of this year.

If you know me or have followed along throughout the years, you know that I am passionate about the growth of soccer in this country. After 4 years at ESPN covering a multitude of sports including soccer and MLS, I’m finally able to fully focus on my passion. I want to celebrate the beautiful game, and the growing culture for the sport in America. But most of all, I want to have some fun. We need more fun in our lives after the last 18 months. Subscribe for free and receive the newsletter via email. Let’s laugh, hopefully not cry too much and revel in this exciting era of American soccer, together.
